Standex Electronics is a market leader in the design, development and manufacture of standard and custom electro-magnetic components, including magnetics products and reed switch-based solutions. Their magnetic offerings include planar, SMPS transformers, inductors & common mode chokes, current sense, and low frequency transformers.
Standex Electronics’ reed switch-based solutions include Meder, Kent, and Kofu (formerly OKI) brand reed switches, as well as a complete portfolio of reed relays. Standex Electronics also has a comprehensive array of fluid level, proximity, motion, water flow, HVAC condensate, hydraulic pressure differential, capacitive, conductive and inductive sensors.
Reed Relays & Optocouplers
Reed Relays have stable low contact resistance <150 milli-ohms, low capacitance, high insulation resistance >10^14 ohms, and carry currents up to 5 Amps continuous and 10 Amps pulsed. Reed relays operate in the 500 microsecond to 3 millisecond range and withstand shock up to 150G.
Reed Switches
Standex Electronics’ Reed Switches uses simple magnet interaction to open and close its contacts, and does not consume power in its open state. They are hermetically sealed and hence can exist or be used in many environments.
Planar Magnetics
Standex Electronics offers Planar Transformers in sizes 025, 035, 055, 075, 110, 135 (with or without Heatsink), 220 (with or without Heatsink), 350 (Heatsink), 560 (with or without Heatsink) and Planar Inductors with ferrite core available in Surface Mount Technology (SMT) or Through Hole Tab (THT) mounting styles.
Power Magnetics
Standex Electronics’ reliable high-quality transformers, coils, inductors, and reactors meet a wide variety of applications. Low frequency transformers in the 50/60Hz to 400Hz range as well as high frequency transformers and power assemblies ranging from 20kHz to RF are offered.
Sensors & Magnets
Reed Sensors uses Reed Switches as the heart of their switching mechanism. When paired with a permanent magnet, it becomes an ideal method of sensing and detecting metal, movement, proximity, and liquid level and flow.
